Belarus increases volume of blood components procurement: all the needs of medical institutions have been covered

Belarus has increased the procurement of blood and its components by 7%. The volume of donations last year reached the maximum in the history of independent Belarus. More than 260 thousand liters of blood was procured, more than 65 tons of plasma were processed. Thanks to this, it was possible to cover all the needs of medical institutions in components. An irreducible reserve has been formed and is constantly maintained.

Botanical Garden invites to visit lantern garden

Botanical Garden in Minsk shines with magic lights: large luminous insects, birds and lizards welcome guests. The exposition here is divided into locations: a bee hive, a snail race, a swamp with lilies and frogs, and even a family of huge scorpions. Three little Belarusians born in first minutes of 2024 received the first gifts from President

Another good tradition is to congratulate moms who gave birth to babies in the first hours of the New Year. Today, three little Belarusians, who were born in the first minutes of this year, received the first gifts from the President in their lives. The Filistovich family was congratulated by Minister of Health Dmitry Pinevich on behalf of the head of state at the Minsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital. This is the tenth child in the family of farmers from Vileyka District. The boy was named Alexander. In total, three residents of the region received the most precious gift of fate in this maternity hospital on January 1.

Sobriety Race held in Minsk

Belarus ran into the New Year in a sportive way. Traditionally, on January 1, the buffs of a healthy lifestyle joined the Sobriety Race. Athletes from different parts of Belarus take part in it. And this time more than 500 people wishing to run 5 km and get an unforgettable energy boost for the whole year gathered at the start near the Christmas tree near the Palace of Sports. A sea of smiles, New Year mood and colorful costumes of the participants. Even Santa Claus changed his warm felt boots for comfortable sneakers.

Over 411,000 foreigners use visa-waiver to visit Belarus since year-start
