Functions and tasks of Polotsk Regional Executive Committee
Polotsk Regional Executive Committee is in charge of: the economy, market reforms, foreign economic activity, enterprises and organizations of transport and communications, housing and communal services and energy, the construction complex, the service sector, healthcare, the development of physical culture, sports and tourism, the spheres of education and culture, social protection and public awareness.
The activity of Polotsk Regional Executive Committee is carried out in cooperation with the heads of enterprises and associations located in the region, heads of banks, public organizations, parties, trade unions, the media, educational institutions, creative unions, law enforcement agencies, and charitable organizations. The Regional Executive Committee is the executive and administrative body on the territory of Polotsk region and exercises its powers in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated January 4, 2010 No. 108-З "On local government and self-government in the Republic of Belarus" and other legislative acts.
