Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed the importance of peace for the country’s development during a visit to the production site of Horizont Holding Company on 31 December, BelTA has learned.

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) told the ONT TV channel about two Belarusian satellites launched into orbit from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, BelTA has learned.

On 30 December Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed an order to assign Grants of the President of the Republic of Belarus for 2026 to 42 specialists engaged in science, education, healthcare, culture and youth policy, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

On 23 December, a New Year’s procession of Father Frosts and Snow Maidens from across Minsk’s Zavodskoy District was held in front of the MAZ Cultural Center. The celebration continued with the concert program “Let’s Rock Together”.

Palace of Independence hosts New Year's Eve Ball

In the run up to 2026, the Palace of Independence once again opened its doors to participants of the now traditional New Year's Eve Ball for young people. The event began with a classical segment attended by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.
