India is interested in economic cooperation with Vitebsk Oblast in such areas as woodworking, water purification, pharmaceutics, and personnel training for oil processing industry.

On 2 March, the headquarters of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee hosted an event to sign the program of implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Orthodox Church in Vitebsk Oblast for 2021-2025. Taking part in the event were Vitebsk Oblast Governor Nikolai Sherstnev, Archbishop of Vitebsk and Orsha Dimitry and Bishop of Polotsk and Glubokoye Igtaty.

As of 1 March 2021, 95,880 deposit accounts were opened for large families under Belarus' family capital program, 13,545 of which were opened under the new program for 2020-2024, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry.

Flowers were laid at the memorial to the policemen who died in the line of duty and officers of the regional police department were honored in a ceremony to mark the Belarusian Police Day in Vitebsk on 2 March.
