Vitebsk is hosting the second edition of the open contest of national cultures, talent, and beauty Grace International that features contestants from nine countries who study at universities of Vitebsk and Minsk. 

Volunteers tidied up the territory around memorials to villages destroyed during the Great Patriotic War in Vitebsk Oblast on 17 March.

On 16 March, volunteers cleaned up the memorial complex Shunevka in Dokshitsy District. The memorial complex commemorates 149 local residents who were killed by Nazis on 2 March 1943.

The Vitebsk concert hall hosted an evening of modern choreography Clean Sheet. Diana Yurchenko's folk theater-studio of modern choreography of the Vitebsk center of culture performed at the event. The audience was shown a two-part Belarusian-language program.

India is interested in economic cooperation with Vitebsk Oblast in such areas as woodworking, water purification, pharmaceutics, and personnel training for oil processing industry.

On 2 March, the headquarters of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee hosted an event to sign the program of implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Orthodox Church in Vitebsk Oblast for 2021-2025. Taking part in the event were Vitebsk Oblast Governor Nikolai Sherstnev, Archbishop of Vitebsk and Orsha Dimitry and Bishop of Polotsk and Glubokoye Igtaty.

As of 1 March 2021, 95,880 deposit accounts were opened for large families under Belarus' family capital program, 13,545 of which were opened under the new program for 2020-2024, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry.

The Belarusian opposition is preparing to stage a provocation on 25-27 March, State Security Committee (KGB) Chairman Ivan Tertel said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.

Enterprises affiliated with the state association Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" more than doubled their exports to China in 2020, BelTA learned from the concern.

More efforts will be poured into increasing the usage of local kinds of fuel in Belarus. Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich made the statement as he and Vitebsk Oblast Governor Nikolai Sherstnev visited the peat brick plant OAO TBZ Braslavsky on 3 March, the press service of the Energy Ministry told BelTA.
