Lukashenko's new working week to highlight economic, security issues

The upcoming week in the working schedule of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will be devoted to economic and security issues, Press Secretary of the Belarusian leader Natalya Eismont said in an interview on 5 February, BelTA has learned.

“As for the upcoming schedule, first of all, these are the economic issues that the president has been dealing with most intensely lately. You know this very well. The president will be working here in the capital, at the Palace of Independence, during the next week. The entire coming week, for example, will be devoted to economic issues, the most pressing ones. Of course, there will also be a fairly serious talk on security to take a look at today's situation. That is, of course, very important,” the press secretary said.

“There are several big events to take place in the near future. If we take the agricultural sector as another example, this is the off-season for now, but at the same time it is a very important preparatory period. As always, the president says it is important that we lay the groundwork for us to work with in the future. I want to say, as far as I know, there will be a very serious discussion about one of the areas of agriculture in the near future. We are getting ready for this meeting,” Natalya Eismont said.
