“Minsk Oblast is a central and undisputed leader in many key areas. Agriculture, industry, mining are the most important areas of the country's economy, the region's contribution to which exceeds one fifth of the national volume. It is worth a lot,” said Roman Golovchenko.
According to the Belarusian prime minister, the history of Minsk Oblast is inextricably linked to the history of the whole country. “This is a heroic history, scorched by the fires of Khatyn and hundreds of Belarusian villages burned during the Great Patriotic War. It is the history of victories and accomplishments, when the unconquered Belarusian people restored the country from the ruins. They built new productions, explored the rich soil of Belarus. This is the history of thousands of ordinary workers who tirelessly created the wealth of the Belarusian people, wishing the next generations to live in peace and prosperity,” he stressed.
Roman Golovchenko is convinced that Minsk Oblast marked its 85th anniversary with good results. “Agriculture, industry, and processing show steady growth. Record harvests and milk yields, active development of the road and transport network, improvement and development of modern urban infrastructure, accelerated construction of social facilities are just a small part of what the region has done in recent years. This is the work of managers, builders engineers, farmers, and others. I am confident that hard work, sincere love for the native land, and efficient economic management will let Minsk Oblast keep holding the leading positions and reach new heights,” Roman Golovchenko said.
