“Traditionally, during the harvest campaign various aspects of agriculture are put into the spotlight. As I have announced earlier, today we will talk about Belarusian gardens. I strongly believe that we should give preference to Belarus-made bread, meat, milk, vegetables and, of course, fruits growing in our climate as much as possible. In other words, we should set the table for Belarusian food,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
According to the president, such an approach was vindicated by experience. “You can't sit and wait for apples to be brought from Poland or Moldova. There is a possibility that these apples will not make it over here. Therefore, we need to grow them on our own. And, as we have seen it today [during the visit to the Kremko production cooperative], we can absolutely succeed if we approach it smartly and stick to technology. And not only here, in Grodno Oblast,” the head of state said.
