Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Cambodia

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state stressed that Cambodia has been confidently following the path of sustainable development and strengthening its international authority. “The Kingdom's turn to take up the chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in 2022 will testify to the fact,” the Belarusian leader said.

The president confirmed his interest in expanding interaction with Cambodia, a country that is an important partner of Belarus in Southeast Asia. “I am confident that with joint efforts we will be able to step up bilateral cooperation in agriculture, industry, education and other sectors for the benefit of the peoples of both states,” he stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished strong health and longevity to Norodom Sihamoni as well as peaceful skies and solidarity to the people of Cambodia.
