Belarusian-Turkish parliamentary cooperation discussed in Ankara


Development of the Belarusian-Turkish parliamentary cooperation was discussed in Ankara on 28 December, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Turkey.

"Belarusian Ambassador to Turkey Viktor Rybak met with Selman Eser, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the head of the parliamentary friendship group with the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus," the embassy said.

The parties discussed the possibilities of parliamentary diplomacy to deepen Belarusian-Turkish relations in areas of mutual interest with an emphasis on trade, economic and investment cooperation and ways of strengthening constructive cooperation in international organizations.

The parties also discussed the preparations for a videoconference meeting of the working parliamentary cooperation groups of Belarus and Turkey and the organization of a visit of a delegation of the Belarusian friendship group to Turkey for a joint meeting.
