Belarusian Bellegprom increases net profits, sales margins in Q3

In January-September 2020, Bellegprom's garment and knitwear companies increased net profits and sales margins, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom.

“In January-September 2020, Bellegprom's knitwear companies posted a net profit of Br46.5 million (up by Br12 million year-on-year), garment companies - Br13.9 million (up by Br3.3 million year-on-year),” the press service informed.

The Q3 sales margins in the garment industry were 16.7% (12.5% in the same period of 2019), in the knitwear industry - 13% (11.4% in January - September last year).

Profitability of products sold has also increased: in the knitwear industry – up to 15.6% (as against 14% in January-September of last year), in the garment industry – up to 20.2% (as against 15.5%).

The Belarusian state light industry Bellegprom concern comprises 96 organizations, including 76 industrial companies (textile, garment, knitwear and leather-footwear industries). They account for 60% of the country's total light industry output and 21% of Belarus' total non-food output.
