“The parliamentarians will review the implementation of one of the priority areas of ensuring the security of the Union State: maintaining internal stability and resilience of the member states (Section IV of the Union State Security Concept, approved by Resolution No. 14 of the Supreme State Council of the Union State on 6 December 2024),” the press service reported.
The MPs will also discuss the Union State programs, including: Improvement of military infrastructure facilities planned for joint use in the interests of the regional grouping of forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation (2023-2026); Modernization of logistics facilities planned for joint use in the interests of the regional grouping of forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation (2023-2027); and Development of border security of the Union State (2023-2027).
In addition, deputies will consider preparations for the Union State event Historical and Legal Session: The Future of Law and Order with the participation of children from families of Belarusian and Russian law enforcement officers, and will take stock of the 2025 Union State event Military-Patriotic Session for Students of Suvorov Military Schools, Nakhimov Naval Schools, and Cadet Schools of Belarus and Russia.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Standing Commission of the Union State, the defense and interior ministries of Belarus and Russia, the Belarusian Education Ministry, the State Border Committee of Belarus, and Russia’s Federal Security Service.
