Belarusian PM invites Russia to sync efforts, share best practices in tourism development

Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin discussed the development of tourism with Russia during a meeting with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, BelTA learned.

The prime minister noted that the governments of Belarus and Russia have recently been engaged in very intensive work on many issues.

According to Aleksandr Turchin, countless topics for discussion with the Russian deputy prime minister can be found. But today the main focus was on one area – tourism. “We have set tourism as one of the priorities for our country’s development in the next five-year period,” the head of government explained.

During his visits, the Belarusian prime minister has repeatedly noted the development of this area in Russia and discussed joint programs and plans. “Given the large number of tourists from our countries who visit both Belarus and Russia every year, we can synchronize our efforts in some areas and share the best practices regarding tourism support products and tourism development programs,” he emphasized.
