September will be packed with various gastronomic festivals and holidays. Among them are the Potato Fest in Uzda District, the Dumpling Festival in Sharkovshchina District, the feast of cabbage in Volkovysk District, the festival of national sweets in Berestovitsy District, the festival of mushroom pickers in Oshmyany District, the potato holiday in Novogrudok District, etc. In addition, tourists in Gomel Oblast will be offered a gastronomic route within the framework of the project on intangible cultural heritage “Draniki – Rudabelka potato hit”.
The list of events also include the 29th edition of the International Theater Festival White Tower in Brest, the ethno-festival MIR-Fest in Korelichi District, 32nd edition of the Belarusian Written language Day in Lida, the international festival of animated films Animaevka in Mogilev, the Day of Medieval Culture in Lida Castle, the Slutsk Sashes crafts festival in Slutsk, the Get-Together Near A Mill in Zelva District and the national athletics meets Kopyl Race and Galshany Fair.
Various regions will hold the events to celebrate the Day of People’s Unity, the Bagach harvest festivals and organ music celebrations. The September program also features the seventh regional holiday of poetry celebrating Aleksei Pysin, the festivities in honor of the Yurovichi Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Mercy, the national universal exhibition-fair Polesie Treasure Trove in Mozyr and the regional holiday celebrating the wedding rite on of Turov land.
The October program will embrace the end of the fishing season events in Minsk Oblast, Veles Night in the Berezinsky biosphere reserve and agricultural holidays across small towns. Polotsk will host the Pokrovsky meetings; Stolbtsy District will be the venue of the Autumn Travel event. A motor rally across memorial sites of the First World War will be held across Minsk Oblast.
An interesting program for the autumn will be presented by the Stalin’s Line historical and cultural complex. Military-historical re-enactment events will be held here on the occasion of the Tankmen’s Day, the Day of Missile Forces and Artillery.
