Belarus hands over modern firefighting vehicles to Russia’s Voronezh Oblast

Belarus handed over four state-of-the-art firefighting vehicles manufactured by the Belarusian enterprise Pozhsnab to Voronezh Oblast, Russia. The ceremony took place on the main square of the regional capital on 11 July, attended by Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Voronezh Oblast Governor Aleksandr Gusev, BelTA has learned.

Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik expressed confidence that the Belarusian equipment will be a valuable asset for Voronezh’s emergency services. The vehicles are considered unique, featuring corrosion-resistant composite materials and a 10-year warranty.

“This is unique equipment: our region has never seen anything like it before,” representatives of the Emergencies Ministry of Voronezh Oblast said. “Spacious cabins, motor pumps that allow the use of open water sources, and foam systems capable of extinguishing fires of any complexity.”

According to the governor, Voronezh Oblast plans to purchase more than 30 additional units of this equipment in the near future.
