Today, the traditional street art festival “On Seven Winds” will be running on the pedestrian streets of Vitebsk. Until 13 July, passers-by will be able to see living sculptures, performances, listen to original poems and songs, visit exhibitions and performances of dance, vocal, circus groups, cover bands, and also dance to DJ sets.
The Puppet Quarter will also open on this day. At 11:00, 13:00 and 19:00, puppet theater performances from Belarus and Russia will be held at the Belarusian theater Lyalka.
Starting from 11:00, Belarusian and Russian participants of the project “In the Circle of Songs and Friends” will be performing on Svobody Square. At 11:30, an exhibition of paintings by artists from Belarus, Latvia, Estonia and Finland will start working at the Vitebsk Concert Hall. At 12:00, the social film festival Hostel will kick off at the Cinema House. Artists from Serbia will showcase their works at the Art Museum starting from 13:00. At 15:00, the exhibition “The Role of the Peoples of the USSR in the Great Victory” from the collections of the National Library of Belarus will open at the regional library.
Also today, the recipient of a new star on the Alley of Stars of the Summer Amphitheater will be announced. The organizers will keep the name of the performer in secret until the very end.
The state youth song and dance ensemble Altai named after Alexander Berezikov will perform at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic Hall at 18:00. The accordion group Tutti from the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts will present its program at Sollertinsky State Music College at 18:00.
The opening ceremony of the large-scale forum is scheduled for 20:30. Belarusian and Russian pop stars will take to the stage of the Summer Amphitheater to make a spectacular show. The Grand Prix of the junior song contest will also be awarded during the concert. As a result of two days of the competition, Amalia Sukhan from Belarus and Miras Nagashibay from Kazakhstan came out on top, having scored the same number of points. The intrigue will be resolved this evening and the spectators at the Summer Amphitheater will be the first to know who won the coveted prize.
