Belarusian culture showcased at festival in South Korea

The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in South Korea participated in the international festival Busan Global Gathering, held annually in Busan, the country's second-largest city, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Seoul.

Following tradition, the embassy treated guests to Belarusian homemade pastries and national honey-based beverages and also presented Belarusian culture, history and  tourist attractions to the local community.

For young visitors, the embassy prepared coloring pages featuring national symbols and landscapes of Belarus, which captivated the children.

This major multicultural event, organized annually by the Busan city hall and the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation, welcomed more than 70 organizations and social associations from over 30 countries in 2025.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of Korea Andrei Chernetsky and his spouse took part in the festival’s official ceremonies. During a conversation with the mayor of Busan, the Belarusian ambassador expressed gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to participate in one of South Korea’s largest cultural events and introduce its citizens to Belarusian culture.
