The ministry informed that the campaign will cover all regions of the country and will include educational, cultural, sports events and social initiatives.
The nationwide events will include the press conference “Belarus for a healthy family!” at the National Press Center with the participation of large families (12 May), the international forum “Family is the basis of the demographic potential of the state” and a single day of consultations on family issues (13 May), the final stage of the competition among young families of the military “Family is a crystal of society” and the photo challenge “Family is ...” (15 May), as well as a family holiday at the Gorky Children's Park in Minsk (17 May).
Activities will also be held in the regions: celebration of couples who mark golden and silver wedding anniversaries, sports events for families with disabled children, art exhibitions, open days in museums for families with many children.
Educational programs are also planned: lessons on family values and essay competitions in schools, as well as youth forums on the modern family at universities, and consultations on reproductive health in clinics.
Public associations have also prepared their initiatives. They include a Papa-Zal project to strengthen the father involvement in the family, a festival of large families, the Lord of the Village competition, religious forums in support of traditional family values.
