Belarusian ambassador visits Myanmar's Embassy in Hanoi

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam and Myanmar (non-resident) Vladimir Borovikov visited the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Belarus' diplomatic mission in Hanoi told BelTA.

Ambassador Vladimir Borovikov made an entry in the book of condolences for the numerous victims of the devastating earthquake. 

Expressing deep sympathy and condolences to the victims' families and sincere words of support to all the injured, the ambassador stressed: "Belarusians share the sorrow and pain of loss with the brotherly people of Myanmar."

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were established on 22 September 1999. The political interaction between the countries is built on trust and mutual understanding and continues to gain momentum for the benefit of both countries.

The dialogue between the two nations is maintained at the highest and high levels. On 6-8 March 2025, Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing paid an official visit to Belarus. Min Aung Hlaing and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held negotiations at the Palace of Independence to discuss trade, economic, humanitarian and other areas of cooperation.
