A total of 57 best climate practices from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Iran, Egypt, Indonesia and Uzbekistan were named winners and finalists of the competition in 15 nominations. The electric truck C45700 VITOVT Truck Electro Prime by the Belarusian Belkommunmash won the third place in the Green Transport" nomination. Grodnooblgaz placed third for its technology to mount energy-efficient sources in the Climate Mitigation nomination for the practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including climate projects. The unified program for the restoration of small watercourses within the boundaries of large communities by the Belarusian Central Research Institute for the Integrated Use of Water Resources finished third place in the Water Resources in New Climatic Conditions nomination.
The awards ceremony was attended by the members of the EEC Council: Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko of Belarus, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan of Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin of Kazakhstan, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksei Overchuk of Russia and also Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC Andrei Slepnev.
This year, the competition received more than 300 practices from 12 countries, including China, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, Cameroon, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. The competition was organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects.
