"Work to nominate candidates continues in Belarus," the CEC informed. “Registration of initiative groups to collect signatures ended on 25 December. A total of 164 initiative groups were registered in support of candidates to the House of Representatives and 11,221 – in support of candidates to the local councils of deputies.
Election commissions have already received nomination papers on 366 candidates to the local councils of deputies.
National observers continue accrediting with territorial and district election commissions. As of today, 3,348 observers have been accredited, the CEC added.
