Belarus, Equatorial Guinea explore cooperation in healthcare

Belarus and Equatorial Guinea discussed cooperation in healthcare, BelTA learned from the official telegram channel of the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus.

According to the ministry, negotiations and a meeting of the interstate working group on cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals were held during the visit of the Belarusian official delegation to Equatorial Guinea. The dialogue was held under the leadership of the heads of the healthcare ministries of the two countries. The Belarusian delegation also toured one of the best clinics in the country, La Paz, which is located in the capital of the state, the city of Malabo.

During the visit to the medical facility, Belarusian Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich and colleagues from Equatorial Guinea looked into the issues of production, supply of components and maintenance of medical equipment to Equatorial Guinea. The issues of training specialists to maintain medical equipment in the country's healthcare institutions were also touched upon. During the meeting with the management of the hospital, the parties explored the possible projects that will meet the interests of the two countries.

A large Belarusian delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik is visiting Equatorial Guinea. The delegation includes Agriculture and Food Minister Sergei Bartosh, Health Minister Dmitry Pinevich, deputy ministers of industry, education, chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology, heads of state concerns, senior officials of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, higher education institutions, business and financial institutions.
