Lukashenko to attend nationwide conference on cattle breeding

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is expected to take part in a plenary session of the nationwide seminar-conference on the country's cattle breeding industry in Soligorsk on 22 September, BelTA has learned.

The participants of the plenary session are set to take stock of the progress made and discuss strategies for the development of livestock breeding sectors, their scientific support. Special attention will be paid to livestock breeding at the country's regional level, its prospects on the example of certain enterprises.

A two-day onsite nationwide seminar-conference “On the development of livestock breeding in the Republic of Belarus” kicked off in Minsk Oblast on 21 September. The event has gathered about 300 specialists, including chairpersons of the district executive committees and heads of large agricultural enterprises, scientists.

On the first day of the seminar-conference the delegations visited the advanced agricultural enterprises of Minsk Oblast. In Novopoleski-Agro affiliated with Belaruskali Agro the participants of the seminar got familiar with a new dairy complex for 2,400 heads. In Kozlovichi-Agro they studied the performance of the Lesuny dairy complex. They were also shown technologies of heifer breeding in Rechen of Belaruskali Agro, as well as the technological processes of milk production and the progress in the construction of a new complex in Krasnodvortsy.
