Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Venezuela

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro as the country celebrates the national holiday - Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Despite the continuous pressure from the United States and its allies, who do not stop trying to impose their values on us and preserve their world order, Minsk and Caracas continue to adhere to their own path of development and to be committed to creating a just multipolar world," the message of congratulations said. "I am convinced that effective counteracting of this pressure is possible only thanks to the even greater unity of states that share common views on a new global order that are similar to ours."

The president noted that the comprehensive strengthening of ties with Venezuela remains a very important priority of the Belarusian foreign policy. "Maintaining an active and open dialogue at all levels is the guarantee that various joint initiatives to ensure progress of both countries will be implemented successfully," the head of state stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Nicolas Maduro excellent health and fruitful work in fulfilling his responsible state mission, and peace and prosperity to Venezuelans.
